1. Independence
Portico is an independent preparation platform. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored bythe LNAT Consortium, LNAT Ltd, Pearson VUE, the University of Oxford, the University of Cambridge, or any other examining body or university. The trade mark "LNAT" is the property of its respective owners; we use it only to describe what we help you prepare for.
2. Who can use Portico
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 16 you must have your parent or guardian's permission, which you confirmed when you created your account.
3. Automated grading is guidance, not scoring
Essay feedback and MCQ scoring are generated in part by large language models. They are intended as practice guidance only. We do not guarantee that the marks or feedback correspond to the marks a real examiner would give. Do not rely on any Portico output as a prediction of your actual LNAT result or admissions outcome.
4. Acceptable use
- Do not attempt to circumvent authentication, rate limits, or admin controls.
- Do not use Portico to submit content that is unlawful, hateful, or that targets identifiable individuals.
- Do not scrape, resell, or attempt to redistribute the AI-generated passages or feedback.
5. Your data
How we handle your data is set out in the privacy policy. You can delete your account and everything stored with it at any time from the Account page.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Portico is provided "as is". We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the platform — including, without limitation, any admissions decision made about you. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under UK law (for example, liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence).
7. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified by email to your account address. Continued use after that date is your acceptance of the new terms; if you disagree you can delete your account from the Account page.
